Wheel building is as much art as it is science. All Easton wheels are meticulously Hand Built by skilled craftsmen to achieve uniform spoke tension. Easton employs the use of sound to ensure even tension and uniform tightness for each spoke. This procedure vastly strengthens the wheel and greatly reduces spoke failure. Monitoring the pitch and tone of each spoke allows us to sufficiently increase the tension to the spoke so that the wheel is optimized for performance, lightweight, stiffness, and durability.
